The Cyprus Homes Network web portal was lunched in 2003 just 2 years prior to Cyprus joining the EU.

During the first 2 years, the property market in Cyprus was extremely buoyant attracting many foreign investors from several countries and particularly from the UK and Ireland.

Property prices grew by an average of 20% per year and then settled down at the end of 2005; a few months after Cyprus became an EU country.

The property market in Cyprus is quite stable nowadays and whilst Cypriot property prices are still on the rise, other countries which have recently joined the EU had an impact on the overall level of sales of properties in Cyprus.

Last year, we have made an agreement with once of Cyprus's largest estate agency and featured several thousands of their properties on our Cypriot property portal however, we have terminated our agreement with this company and will be publishing a new range of newly constructed Cypriot properties, directly from developers, all located in the South of Cyprus.

With stability in the Cypriot property market, buying a property in Cyprus is 'a safe bet' and whilst the property market in Cyprus is not booming; buying a property on this fantastic Mediterranean Island offers not only a great all year round weather, but also high quality construction and in most cases, an easy and smooth transaction.

The legal system in Cyprus is based on (and is similar to) the UK legal system and providing that all due diligence are done, property purchase in Cyprus would be a safe and sound investment.
